Banjarnegara, long dry season make the most of the people in the village Gumelem Wetan, District Susukan, Banjarnegara regency, Central Java do Unjungan tradition. This tradition is a traditional ritual for rain.

This traditional ritual carried out by a penalty on the distance at which carried a pair of adult males using equipment such as blade of cane as a tool to hit.

In the village of Gumelem Wetan, Ujungan traditions have been hereditary, and usually held during the long dry season. Because of the season, farmers in the village are in desperate need of water weeks to irrigate their land. According to the belief some people in the village, to accelerate the coming of the rain, the players have to multiply Ujungan blow to his opponent to hurt and bleed.

"This tradition has been more than 20 years and has been handed down. Usually this ritual is held on Fridays and usually after 3 times on Friday and there were those who were injured and their blood will usually come out rain. But this is a confidence, but usually succeed," said Budi Sulistyo, coaches and Gumelem village head, told reporters on Friday (09/28/2012).

Ujungan tradition which is the ritual that combines music, dance and martial arts. Ritual compete at this uphold sportsmanship and brotherhood, the article for any player who dared to come forward and fight must still follow the rules that have been awarded by a referee.

Before the participants unjungan follow these rituals would dare they volunteered to come into play. After that, the player will be subject to security equipment by the committee itself.
