Tasripin Story, Boy 12 Years To Support his Three Younger Brother

Away in a hamlet in the village of Mountain Village Chief, District Cilongok, Banyumas, Central Java, Tasripin (12) kid responsibility of Hamlet flew alone to live and earn a living to support his three siblings Danny (9) Riyanti (7) and Daryo (5). Tasripin have to work in the fields the younger kids can still eat.

Now the boys must live alone and sleep in a room with a mattress and pillow that already looks shabby with covered mattress. Third brother sister both rely heavily on them, Tasripin, who every day have to work in the fields with a hoe, clear debris and planting paddy rice with villagers during the growing season.

"My mother is dead and father worked in Borneo with a brother," said Tasripin, Friday (04/12/2013).

Almost every day, Tasripin should go into the fields to earn money to support his three siblings. The neighbors were sympathetic to the situation often helps Tasripin is sometimes also write rice and side dishes for the boys. Quite often they just eat rice but it looks scrumptious potluck.

"If you go to the field at 7 am and return at 12 noon. Sometimes a day dapet Rp. 30-40 thousand a day. Was buying rice and vegetables. Remaining for snacks sister," said the boy who had dropped out of school it was.

The morning before he went to the fields, Tasripin to cook rice and vegetables for her sisters. Besides cooking, he also had to wash clothes, sweep and his sisters. But not just bathe and feed to her sisters, she was responsible for the morals of her sisters to bring her sisters praying and chanting in front of his house musala.

Great responsibility to make him have to work hard, it is not uncommon if not get a job, he had to borrow rice stall. "If there's no money in shops like debt, pay it later when you come home," he said.

Currently Tasripin should stop going to school, because of delinquent tuition fees, while her siblings Danny and Riyanti did not attend school because of embarrassment often teased by his friends. Only Daryo, last brother is still in the early childhood school in the village.

"It's not elementary school, my sister was only one school in early childhood, sometimes my biayain, sometimes waiting for shipment of the father," he said innocently.

Back when school he had to cover a distance of about 3 kilometers to reach the school, cobbled streets and the hills and forests to pass him every day.
